From Lee Kum Kee’s beginning as a restaurant to the thousands that we support today, our sauces have always been instrumental to chefs. During June of 2024, we had the opportunity to stand with and support some of the best the world has to offer.

Lee Kum Kee is proud to partner with The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, an event recognizing some of the top restaurants across the globe. This annual event, which announces the full list awarded by William Reed’s diverse academy chairs, brings together chefs, restaurateurs, and other influential food names together for culinary fun and festivities.

As the Official Sauce and Condiments sponsor for the event, Lee Kum Kee fueled the flavor behind many of the delicious events. We are full of delicious memories across the entire celebration, and some of our favorite moments from The World’s 50 Best Restaurants were as follows:

Our Premium Oyster Sauce Tartare

With so many of the world’s top chefs and culinary community coming to Las Vegas, our Lee Kum Kee chefs delivered on a high-end dish featuring our Premium Oyster Sauce for the awards reception. Blending together our Premium Oyster Sauce with yuzu, Kaviari caviar, and wagyu beef made for a delectable Wagyu Tartare that reception guests savored.

Oyster sauce in a tartare? It absolutely works, adding a punch of umami to the beef and elevating the dish to the next level. If you’re making beef tartare at home for a future meal, give it a try next time and share the results with us!

A Delicious Welcome Dinner Featuring Lee Kum Kee Sauces

To kick off the festivities for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, a Welcome Dinner was hosted at Resort World’s Carversteak in Las Vegas, featuring chefs from El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain, and The World’s Best Restaurant 2023 winner, Central in Lima, Peru. Lee Kum Kee sauces were featured in a white asparagus comtessa, giving a savory play on the nostalgic Viennetta cake from the 1990s.

Tons of Delicious and Thought-Provoking Chef Events

Getting to interact with and cook for some of the best chefs in the world was a treat, as was learning from many of them at several of the chef events that took place around Las Vegas.

We especially won’t forget the massive Chef’s Feast, featuring a smorgasbord of flavors from around the world, as well as #50BestTalks, where we got to try thought-provoking items like an ice cream sandwich made using the gelatin from fish bones.

All of the Incredible Award Winners

Of course, we have to remember why everyone came to Las Vegas: to see the unveiling of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and award winners! You can check out the full list on The World’s 50 Best Restaurant’s website, including the #1 ranked restaurant, Disfrutar in Barcelona. Within the United States, other restaurants recognized included Atomix in New York (#6), SingleThread in Healdsburg (#46), and Kato in Los Angeles (One To Watch Award Winner).

Epic Food From the Afterparty

It wouldn’t be a night in Vegas without a fun party, and for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, the food at the afterparty at the Wynn’s Encore Beach Club were all showstoppers.

That includes a series of hand rolls served up by Wazuzu Restaurant, featuring Lee Kum Kee sauces within. These included Spicy Bluefin Tuna, Torched Hokkaido Sea Urchin, and Japanese Yellow Tail, all of which we kept going back for.

Of course, we had to finish the night with dessert, although on first look, we weren’t exactly sure if this was a cake.…

Overall, we had a blast being a part of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants event as the Official Sauce and Condiment Sponsor, and to showcase how Lee Kum Kee sauces are used by some of the top chefs worldwide. We are looking forward to continuing our support for Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025!
